Food, food, glorious food, all wrapped in one word.
Over the years the Name Seemann’s has become synonymous with quality meat products and import delicacies, particularly from Germany.
Why Seemann’s
MRM/MDM: Mechanically recovered/deboned meat. Meat residue which is left on the carcass after all the prime cuts have been removed. It is pressure blasted off the bones by machinery to form a reddish slurry which resembles mince. Most companies then use it to bulk up their meat products/ it is not only far CHEAPER than real meat but it is also a potential carrier of disease causing bacteria.
- PURE MEAT, NO SOYA OR FILLERS - these products are used to extend meat in the manufacturing process. By adding a cheaper ingredient to an emulsion you lower the manufacturing cost and thus you have a cheaper product on the market.
- NO added MSG
MSG: Mono Sodium Glutamate is a food additive, popularly marketed as a flavor enhancer. Glutamate itself is a widespread amino acid: it is found naturally in humans and primarily in the bound form in protein in foods such as mushrooms, seaweed, tomatoes, nuts, legumes, meats and most dairy products. MSG is used to enhance the flavor of products. In manufacturing of processed meats it is added to products where fillers (Soya, Wheat) are used. These fillers do not have a natural strong flavor and has to be enhanced with MSG to add flavor to the product.
SMOKING:
All our products are smoked using wood chips in traditional smokers for hours versus the commercial chemical dipping used to imitate the smoked flavor.
Seemann’s recipes uses quality ingredients that requires time honoured traditional manufacturing methods.
All the meats used for manufacturing are naturally cured in authentic curing salts to preserve and flavor the hand selected meats versus the commercial methods which dip the meats in preservatives for curing.
