 stablished in 1968, Guthrie's Shooting Range has become a historic landmark in Midrand. We specialise in firearms, archery, air rifles, knives, licencing and training. Our 19 lane handgun range is 25 meters long and used to train police, security, and body guard personnel. It is also used for events and general practice for those looking to brush up on their aim and technique. We have a fully equipped 20 yard indoor & 60 yard outdoor archery range with a selection of bows and archery equipment for sale and for hire.
Situated in the heart of Midrand, Guthrie's was one of the very first establishments ever to be built in Vorna Valley. We have a selection of firearms for hire including weapons such as the AK47, Glock, 44 Magnum, and R5 Carbine. We have trained thousands of people how to handle and safely shoot a variety of different weapons including handgun, rifle, shotgun and machine carbine. We also stock world class air rifle equipment, accessories, services and repairs.

 orld champion archer Gordon Guthrie built the indoor & outdoor archery range in the early 90's and has helped to grow the sport in South Africa ever since. We have a variety of bows and crossbows for sale at the shop as well as accessories, services and repairs for both. Our club has hosted a number of competitions including provincial and national archery championships. Many well-known bow hunters frequent our shop as we provide bow hunting equipment and accessories, as well as providing the correct butts on our practise range developed especially for broad head tipped arrows.
We also provide a variety of knives from top manufacturers as well as all sharpening equipment and accessories. We provide more advanced courses. These courses are for those who wish to ensure that they are able to take care of themselves and loved ones to the best of their abilities, should the need arise.

FIREARMS
elcome to the world of fire-power! At Guthrie's Shooting Range we cater for all, from the accomplished marksman to the querulous beginner. Our range is a full 25 meters in length and can occupy 19 marksmen at a time. Our variety of weaponry will keep even the most trigger happy visitor occupied for hours on end. We have many different categories of firearms for hire.
ARCHERY
At Guthries We have a fully functional archery range, both indoor range (20 yards) and outdoor range (60 yards). The indoor range is used mainly for target archery practice and the outdoor range for bowhunters and field archers. Our outdoor range is equipt with movable broadhead butts designed to catch the bowhunters broadheaded arrows safely with easy extraction.
