Established by Karen Short in 1993, By Word of Mouth has built a reputation for producing the most talked about, polished events and parties in South Africa and this has shown through the 20 years of excellence. By Word of Mouth offers a “one-stop-event shop”, from unique designer menus of exquisite food selections and tastes to complete event management service, including event designing, floral designing, hiring and decor, beverages, Front of House managers and waiters.

We love food - food that is fresh, natural, bright, colourful and innovative.
We purchase the very best ingredients… and then blend them with skill and imagination to create unusual, stylish, mouth watering menus that entice the senses and please the palate. Our team of chefs has a variety of skills and culinary experience, not to mention creative flair and flexibility. We relish the challenge of a spectacular formal banquet, as well as a relaxed dinner for 8; and we love to create fabulous food - whether it’s a Moroccan Feast, a superb wedding dinner… or a good old South African Braai.
