HandMade SoftWare established in 1989, is an experienced, motivated software and web development company specializing in software and Internet solutions including hosting services. In 1996 the sub company HandMade Connections was established to deal with Internet based solutions. Our creativity and innovative ideas combined with the high quality of our design experience plus development expertise allows us to offer a competitive yet complete service. We aim to make our solutions attractive, effective, relevant and scalable to the growing needs of the business and people that we serve, forming lasting working relationships. In addition to their comprehensive ISP connectivity solutions, HandMade SoftWare also provides software solutions to corporate market, desktop application solutions as well as web solutions in graphical design plus backend database solutions.
Software Development.
HandMade SoftWare has provided diverse development solutions to corporate from geological and geophysical solutions to network based human resources development applications. In addition HandMade SoftWare also has widely used desktop applications in tourism and rental industry plus real estate solutions. Clients have included Investec, Escom, Anglovaal, Associated Manganese, Fancourt, Mossgas, Robberg Foods, Sothebys International Realty, Forestry Solutions, ABTraining, Construction Gateway UK, Prepaid24 and most tourism offices along the Southern Cape Coastline.
As the first commercial ISP (1995) in the Southern Cape HandMade SoftWare has built an extensive client portfolio and developed a variety of customized solutions used by clients locally and internationally. Our products range from simple web design requirements, Real Estate and Accommodation applications to elaborate custom designed portal solutions designed to suit.
HandMade Connections & Web Solutions.
HandMade SoftWare relocated from Johannesburg to Knysna in 1994 when owner, Anthony Robinson decided to start the first ISP (Internet Service Provider) in the Southern Cape, initially as agents for PIX Internet and more recently as accredited service agents for MWeb in the Garden Route. The web development company HandMade Connections cc was established to fill a gap in the market and now is responsible for web based solutions. Our design staff are experienced enough to meet any design and development needs. We pride ourselves in working together as a team to produce ascetically pleasing, user friendly, functional and productive web sites. HandMade boasts servers both locally and abroad and our web clients include local and international companies.
Our web portal (gardenroute.com) is a very popular Garden Route Business Portal and includes the main Garden Route and Klein Karoo town domains for george.co.za, knysna.co.za, plett.co.za, oudtshoorn.co.za, mosselbay.co.za, sedgefield.co.za, glentana.co.za and more.
Content Management System
HandMade Connections have over the last 15 years deveoloped a Content Management System (CMS) designed around users, who are not HTML experts. The design approach was to build a CMS that is simple and easy to use, but also allows for a more experienced administrator. The backend system is text driven to maximize performance. All module management use similar menu concepts to ensure simplicity throughout the entire site. Each module contains its own unique template making edit to the dynamic data aspect for each module quick and easy. The unique template system design facilitates a custom layout designs per module.

HandMade SoftWare also offer a host of connectivity products ranging from dedicated server hosting to Virtual Machine Solutions.
