ABOUT US
Chartwell Country College is founded on the basic belief that all  individuals are unique. We believe that all children are capable of teaching as well as learning, and we take cognisance of this in all our interactions with our students. Our goal is to see happy, confident children enjoying their school experience. We believe that it is vital for children to be happy to develop real confidence, to understand and know how to effectively use their strengths, to respect and appreciate the differences between themselves and their peers, to become happy, independent and well rounded adults.
Why we are different
We offer a safe environment in which our students can be who they are and begin to grow into who they wish to become. As such, we cater for children who would otherwise be lost in the normal, mainstream, schooling systems and are uniquely placed, through our ethos, to provide them with the correct support and care, to allow them to flourish. Chartwell Country College is dedicated to providing your child with the best learning experience available.Our classes have a maximum of 12 places. This ensures that each student receives adequate attention and that any difficulties are quickly identified.
Subjects
We facilitate our students' studies in a controlled environment designed to stimulate and challenge them, while allowing them the freedom to progress at their own pace. Our very low teacher/pupil ratio enhances the learning experience with no more than 12 students per class. Each student is therefore assured of the individual attention they require. The South African government syllabus is broadly followed in both Junior and High Schools. This work is supplemented by that required by the Cambridge International syllabus. This allows students to make the change to the Cambridge material effortlessly while still allowing them to fit into other schools should they need to leave us for any reason. We believe that parents are our partners in their children's education and as such we encourage them to be involved in the learning process. We also believe in open discussion with parents around all aspects of their children's education. We offer the following subjects:
English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Geography, Art, History, Biology, Science, Travel and Tourism, Business Studies and Sociology
