Monkey Thorn Lodge Bushcamp is situated in the wild life reserve of Dinikeng. Dinokeng, meaning “place of rivers”, covers 281 000 hectares in a place of sacred water sources. The people of this beautiful area offer game viewing, restaurants, hiking, shebeens, birding, conferencing, jewellery, museums, water sports, festivals, vibrant traditional culture and places of historical
Interest. All at great value for money, so close to the city. The Dinokeng game reserve is a partnership between landowners, the Gauteng Government, Blue IQ and all the local communities. 12 500 hectares of bushveld in northeast Gauteng has already been fenced in and the introduction of game will have been completed before the opening of the reserve in late 2008.
