Our pony rides are eductional and fun and are ideal for nursery school visits and birthday parties with a difference.
Milkshake & Milo are two adorable Welsh Ponies, only 10 hands high! They are sweet natured, very tamed and love children.
Most young children have never been on a farm and the ponies are a great way to create an awareness and appreciation of farm animals.
Riding the ponies are also excellent therapy for autistic and handicapped children. Some children that experienced trauma have also shown improvement.
Irma van Rooyen is excellent at communicating on the children's level of understanding. She explains to them that the ponies are her pets and encourages them to take care of their pets. She also teaches the children about the dietary, grooming, exercise and petting needs of the the ponies.

Nursery school - Pony rides
We bring the farm to the children. Our program is aimed at children between the ages of 2 and 8 years.
Listen to Irma van Rooyen share about horses - what they eat and how to take care of them. Each child then has an opportunity to touch the ponies, feed them apples and carrots and ride on their backs.
Safety measures are always followed - Irma walks next to the ponies while a handler lead them.
Most children who tend to be afraid of the ponies end up riding on them. The odd few that don't are refunded.
