The first Captain DoRegos was opened by the DoRego brothers in Cape Town in the early 70s.The big idea was to serve quality, quick-service food at an affordable price. This concept has grown to more than 70 Fast Food Franchises in South Africa, Lesotho and Mauritius. In 2009, Captain DoRegos then underwent a major brand facelift and was recently purchased by the Spur Corporation who are committed to growing Captain DoRegos substantially in South Africa and into the African Continent.
