Frantique is a burgeoning brand, valued for its quality products, attention to details, and excellent customer care. The Frantique brand consists of three divisions:
- Frantique Studio
- Photohub@Frantique, and
- Framing@Frantique.
Frantique Photography Studio
“Less pose, more laughter” is the motto for our photo sessions. Our style is relaxed, natural, and informal, capturing the essence of each person.
Every member of the family can relax and enjoy our photo sessions: we share in the anticipation of a pregnant couple, the joy of a newborn baby, the pride of grandparents, the excitement of growing kids…
Our approach to weddings and events is fun, yet professional. We ensure that your special day is approached with the greatest care, capturing unique visual memories.
Photohub @ Frantique
Photohub is Frantique’s answer to the growing demand for commercial photography. Our experience in commercial photography enables us to deliver quality, customised work, which ranges from product photography for websites and brochures, to creative advertising. We create corporate portraits, cover functions, and capture interiors and exteriors to promote your company’s image.
Our new premises have a designated studio for commercial work, offering our clients a professional setting.
Framing @ Frantique
Our framing division makes the most of modern technology: we are now able to provide you with a digitised example of your end product before you accept the quotation! See our Framing@Frantique link for more information.
The framing division offers services including canvas stretching, coating and framing. Our experienced and dedicated team of framers will ensure a quality product.
A Brief History
Frantique took shape without Francie and Hein’s knowledge during their days at the former Pretoria Technikon. Francie Tonkin and Hein Grové both completed their studies in photography: Francie pursued a diploma in business and Hein obtained a degree in photography. “Little did we know that the late nights and our different fields of interest were slowly paving the way towards Frantique…”
Initially, the thought of working together in our own studio was a far fetched idea. We set off in different directions that took us on journeys across the continent and the globe, gaining valuable experience, slowly inching toward Frantique.
2007 saw the fruits of Francie’s labours: Frantique Studio Framing and Arts opened in the brand new Irene Village Mall in Pretoria. The shop was a treasure trove of gifts and spoils, and included a photography studio and framing outlet. The little shop became a creative hub for families visiting the photography studio where memories and works of art were created.
Thirty months after Frantique opened its doors, demand for our photography compelled us to relocate to a more spacious photography studio in the Route 21 Corporate Park in Irene Pretoria. Our new premises now provide our clients with an enhanced studio experience.
