Licorish Bistro has opened its doors in the new Nicolway Shopping Centre, in the Bryanston area. Situated on the top level, surrounded by earthly colours, solid wooden furniture and plush red finishes.
Licorish is owned by Jacques Fourie and Aki Hadjipetros, both of whom have travelled extensively to combine their knowledge of food, flavours and wine. Jacques Fourie is also the executive chef and is actively involved in the conceptualisation and delivery of the menu. Licorish bistro’s menu is a unification of contempory classics and modern South African with a strong Cape Malay influence. Bredies, Boboties and sosaties are some the flavours that are incorporated into Jacques dishes to create a unique and flavoursome meal.
Licorish is the perfect venue for entertaining business clients, a romantic dinner for two or a Sunday lunch with the family. Breakfast is served on weekends and public holidays.
