KTB Cupboards was started in September 2006 by Hans Veltman after he found a need in the South African market for a company which manufactures reasonably priced DIY Cupboards. The idea came to him after dealing with some large so called DIY Cupboard Manufacturers who were happy to sell Cupboards to the Public but not happy to help the customer once the cupboards were paid for. The general attitude of these manufacturers was - "You bought the cupboards - You sort it out!"
After 3 years of investigating the Industry and its' pit falls, KTB Cupboards Midrand was opened as a pilot project to see if it could become a viable Franchise business. Part of the test was whether this business could be successfully run by people with no knowledge of the industry.
KTB Cupboards has looked at the marketing tools used to promote its business, tested their viability and come up with a winning formula!
