 Liza Landauer
Since a child, I have been interested in food – in any and all it’s forms. From cooking in the kitchen with my Dearest Nanny Mixy, to watching people’s reaction when they ate the food I had cooked, to of course eating.
Eating- one of the great pleasures of life. However it has only been the last 5 years that I have been priveledged to feed the public at large.
I owned Reuben’s Great Sandwich in Illovo and from the get go it has always been about the joy that eating delicious, comfort food can bring. To hit the spot and feed the soul.
After closing Reuben’s – our lease had come to an end, I was approached by The Grillhouse Group to do a joint venture to create a Butchery/ American style Deli/ Catering Store. The result is Meat etc. Benmore. It is partly a retail outlet for The Grillhouse Butchery (offering prime cuts and superior quality meat and biltong) and partly an American style deli making hotdogs, hot beef on rye - to name just 2 of our offerings. We also sell a range of funky gifts at affordable prices.
We do corporate catering, as well as catering for fine dining. I strive to make our food irresistibly tasty by using quality products, attention to detail and always going the extra mile. The home away from home feel and a place where everyone knows your name. Looking forward to feeding you.
