A system of steel burglar proofing comprised of horizontal and vertical components in a security grid like configuration. The vertical square bars pass through punched holes in the horizontal rectangular tube to form the grid to suit the particular opening.
A popular variation to the Cottage Pane design, the Horizontal Only application is suited to all types of windows and is available in different sizes of square steel bar or round steel bar.
STEEL BARS FITTED INTO THE WALL AROUND THE WINDOW
Securawindow burglar bars are fitted into the window frame or they are fitted into the wall around the window (reveal surrounding the window)
The system is normally installed on the inside of the window.
On installation the vertical bars are inserted into pre-drilled holes in the frame or reveal and secured in place by applying an epoxy resin.
The horizontal bars are secured by means of a bolt action within the tube and application of the epoxy resin. This is the basis of the design patent.
The epoxy resin is a paste like glue that bonds with all materials within the scope of the system and its properties include high tensile strength, non shrinkage and durability.
Steel size and thickness is selected to suit each application for optimum strength and resistance to break-in.
The steel is treated to prevent corrosion in coastal areas, either hot dip galvanized or zinc spray.
Whilst 90% of our colours selected are white, brown, charcoal, silver and bronze we do offer a range of alternative colours.
