The Syrene Hotel is a family owned and run business. As 30 year locals to Rivonia it was first envisioned that we wanted to start a family operated business where family is our core strength. Secondly, our love for servicing and delighting people. Thirdly, we wanted to invest in our local community and so it was decided.....
In 2007 we purchased the property which was at the time a building used as office space. And so the long process began transforming it into The Syrene Hotel. A great deal of thought was placed on the aesthetics of the hotel. Our theme of South African trees spun from our beautiful Elm Tree in the center of the courtyard, hence the unique photographic images scattered around the hotel, photographed by the well-known South African photographer Koos van der Lende as well as our combination of glass, stone and light.
