Founded in 1994, Universal Footwear & Trading Company (Pty) Ltd. was established with a very clear purpose: to bring fashionable, affordable footwear to the South African Market. Having both had a fashion background, Philippe & Sheri Hasson set out to source shoes from across the globe with the vision of importing shoes & accessories that they, and their friends, would love to wear. And so the ZOOM Brand was born, and they were subsequently joined in the business by their cousin, Ike Hasson. Today, the company imports & exports, runs a growing chain of retail stores, as well as an online store which was launched in 2010.
ZOOM retail stores enable the showcasing of the diverse brand-offering under one roof, creating the ultimate shopping experience. ZOOM's in-house brands are targeted toward the fashion-forward. These include contemporary Ladies footwear, Men’s formal and semi-formal shoes, Jewellery, and Handbags.
