AutoZone is the largest privately owned automotive parts retailer and wholesaler in Southern Africa. We have a span of 115 wholly-owned retail branches and 40 member-owned franchise branches. We have a supporting supplier base of 688 world-class suppliers contributing to a massive parts range of over 75 000 parts. Apart from South Africa, our franchises have presence in Namibia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland and Botswana. All branches are supported by a well-developed supply chain as well as merchandising and support services.
We are a powerful supplier of automotive spare vehicle parts and have excellent presence in the spares market. We are respected by trade customers (workshops and engineers), cash customers as well as independent spares retailers. Autozone has an excellent presence in national accounts too, holding corporate and government contracts. The South African Police Service (SAPS) contracts us to supply all automotive spares to their SAPS fleet.
OWNERSHIP
In June 2010, AutoZone was involved in a leveraged buy-out from Super Group and is now owned by a consortium consisting of RMB Corvest, Zico Capital and AutoZone Management. AutoZone is proudly BEE and holds a Level 4 BBBEE certificate.
AutoZone also offers a wide range of house brands catering to every aftermarket category as well as all major brands in the market. In addition to this, we also stock an extensive range of accessories and a chemicals product range.
