Here you will find all you need to know about our monthly open LAN events, held here, in the south of Jozi, at the Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre in Kibler Park. Our exciting events are about so much more than PC LANning. We also organize various other events for you to participate in every month; different PC and PS3 tourneys, anime screenings, cosplay, and themed events, and our new addition, Magic: the Gathering tournaments (which are sanctioned, so you can gather up those DCI points). You won’t be finding yourself in want of things to do. Oh, and don’t forget the awesome prizes to be won, sponsored by Anime Infection and A.I. Tech.
Just one small house rule fella’s (and ladies):
Please bring your own PC (and peripherals), and please ensure it is compatible of running some of the latest games. Also bring your headphones (as to not disturb the others busy with other activities), and of course a multiplug or two.
Stomach rumbling a little, no worries! We have a snack bar available with chips, drinks and sweets, and we also serve lunch and a little something for supper too.
We also have other various items on sale, such as; from Anime Infection: anime, manga, comics, and Magic: the Gathering cards and merchandise; and custom made plushies and accessories from Plushie Heaven. Any online orders made from Anime Infection, A.I. Tech, or Plushie Heaven can also be conveniently collected from A.I. Fest.
From our humble beginnings in 2010, starting with as little as 5-10 lanners, we have now mushroomed into an event that has hosted as many as 25 LANners (in 2011)! We have grown so much in the past year, that we now have a Gamer League and, our newest additions, the Planeswalker League and Call of Duty League (starting 2012). However these achievements are for members only, but each winner is awarded a big prize at the end of the year at the December A.I. Fest event.
Coming soon, starting in 2012, is our Annual Membership Fee offer. Become a member, rack up the points and stand a chance of winning the COD / Gamer / Planeswalker of the Year award .You will also receive a cool A.I. Fest branded mug. Bring your mug to our events and get free tea / coffee all day at any A.I. Fest event. Being a member also puts you above the rest, should you be needing to book seats for the LAN area for you and your friends, your booking will take preference over any non-member. (Fee pricing available in 2012)
