Doing what you love for a living means being able to play all day long. My journey as a wedding photographer has taken this ideal one step further. Capturing other people's experiences of love has allowed me to colour their lives with eternal memories of their most precious day. And my greatest reward is the appreciation expressed by my clients on seeing the final results.
My wedding photography is known to be unique; to be contemporary. Gone are the days of stock-standard, smiling-couple wedding shots. Gone are the days of albums that look exactly like everyone else's, with different faces. My photographs are imaginative, fluid, unusual and timeless. What's more, one never knows what Mother Nature is going to throw at you my years of hands-on experience in dealing with changing light and unstable weather conditions ensure that I always get that truly perfect shot.
I come from the days long before digital cameras: winding film with a little lever on a camera that doesn't have a power supply, and manually focusing on the object. In those days, the excitement came from knowing light, and from knowing that you had only one chance to capture the moment. Then,days later, you would find out if what you sensed was captured exactly the way you felt it. I suppose this makes me an original photographer, not your average Photoshop photographer.
