History
The firm Euro Appliances resulted from Lynnwood Domestic Services (LDS) in Pretoria which was bought by the brothers Bertus and Derk Jan van der Veen in February 1996.
In 1998 Euro Appliances was registered with the idea to operate the Sales department as a separate entity, to evaluate the viability of that department and to focus on the top end of the appliances where LDS caters for spares and repairs for the whole range of brands available in South Africa. Trading under Euro Appliances started in 1999 having a separate showroom on the same premises as LDS.
As result of the request of mainly the suppliers Euro Appliances Rivonia was registered in 2002 and started trading in May 2002. Euro Rivonia moved from Rivonia to Sandton with a much improved exposure at the end of 2004. In October 2007 Euro Appliances started sharing premises with Watercomfort in Bryanston.
On the 1st of May 2003 the firm Kitchen Systems Electrical in Cape Town was taken over and the name was changed to Euro Appliances Cape Town.
During 2005 Euro Appliances went into an agreement with Viking America for the distribution of the Viking products in South Africa.
As from March 2010 Euro Appliances Gauteng (Pretoria) and Euro Appliances Western Cape (Cape Town) are operating as separate entities.
In January 2013 the Bryanston showroom was relocated to N4 Gateway Industrial Park, corner of Hans Strijdom Drive and Bronkhorstspruit Road in Pretoria.
