Fitment
This is probably the single most important part of the safety features that we can draw to your attention. You can fit any laminated windscreen to your vehicle, but if the products or installation is not of a OEM (original equipment) or SABS standard, well your vehicle will loose all the safety features that we have mentioned above. Also, many of the modern cars have advanced features that are attached to the interior mirror, in most cases these are fixed to the windscreen, using a non OEM part would result in this feature, to perhaps malfunction. Would you buy a vehicle knowing that it's original features no longer operate?
Windscreens
Did you know that your windscreen protects you against more than just wind, stones and flying insects?
Think about being in a serious accident. Think about your car rolling. Your windscreen could hold your car together. But, if the shape and the fit aren't 100% perfect, it may fly out or break up, and the cabin of your car will collapse. All modern windscreens are laminated, consisting of a vinyl interlayer in-between two sheets of glass. This means they will crack not shatter, and thus strengthen your vehicles cabin structure and your safety.
Armourplate
Although armourplate safety glass is manufactured in South Africa, it is recognized world wide as a leader in toughened glass technology. Such is the consistent quality that armourplate meets the world's toughest standards. When compared to ordinary glass, armourplate is up to 5 times tougher and able to withstand all but the severest impacts (not break-ins). This gives you and your family greater protection against flying stones and other objects.
That is why Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Isuzu, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Opel, Toyota and VW insist on fitting armourplate side glass to their vehicles.

By having your windscreen replaced by Windscreen Fitment Centre you will be given a workmanship warranty of one year from the date of installation. Now that's something to think about the next time your vehicle has a rainy day! The workmanship warranty is not transferable if you sell the vehicle. Legal Notices
Repairs
At Windscreen Fitment Centre we recommend that you repair your windscreen whenever it is damaged. A less costly, but equally effective alternative to replacing damaged windscreens is to have it repaired. If we can't repair your windscreen, we will replace it at your home, office or our premises in Pretoria.
NEVER WASH YOUR WINDSCREEN PRIOR TO REPAIR! ( temperature change could increase the damage and water in the crack would delay the repair)
