ABOUT US
D.A.R.E is a training organisation as well as an outpatient treatment centre for substance abuse. The organisation was started in June 2006 as a response to the great need for affordable educational and counselling services in the field of substance abuse. The organisation is registered with the Department of Social Development as a Non Profit Organisation (Reg No: 062 NPO).
MISSION STATEMENT
Develop and implement training programmes of the highest quality for the training of all people involved in the prevention and treatment of substance abuse.
Provide educational and awareness programmes in all learning institutions as a preventative measure in combating substance abuse.
Act as an expert resource centre for Government departments, educational institutions, welfare organizations, healthcare professionals and the general public; networking with other organizations and providing updated information, advice and promotional material.
Act as an outpatient treatment centre providing individual counselling, group therapy and urine testing.
Initiate and manage sustainable community development projects in Prisons, Schools and amongst all the youth of our country.
Actively contribute to Policy formulation and legislation within the field of substance abuse.

Addiction Outpatient Counselling:
Drug experimentation and addiction is always a symptom of other underlying factors in a person’s life. Rehabilitation is an ongoing process of dealing with these factors as well as being supported by the family. The greatest chances of success come from a team effort, including the addict, the parents, the employer, the counsellor, the school and other relevant parties.
