Thuto Bophelo Nursing Academy is a private nursing academy established in 1982, offering opportunities to prospective nursing learners in accordance with the regulations of the South African Nursing Council.
The Academy is registered with the South African Nursing Council (S1074) and accredited with the Department of Higher Education and Training(FET reg no:2010/FE07/104(until31 December 2016) to provide nursing education and training.
Thuto Bophelo is a multicultural Nursing Academy, which strives to provide and promote education to the disadvantaged communities. Thuto Bophelo Nursing Academy plays a vital role in uplifting and development of skills in the local communities and rural areas.
Thuto Bophelo Nursing Academy undertakes learning programmes in order to meet the dynamic changes in needs of the broader community of Southern Africa.

The Nursing Academy renders education in association with various private and governmental clinics, hospitals and community facilities. learners come in contact with various aspects of the health sector under the accompaniment of the tutors of the Academy as well as the registered nurses in the clinical settings. Within these institutions the learners gain practical skills and experience in all spheres of the Nursing profession.
The motto of our school is " If you can't walk, you can fly " – meaning nothing is impossible in life !!!
Thuto Bophelo Nursing Academy offers the learner an opportunity to embark on a career in Nursing. We offer competent facilitators, who can empower the learner in the academic study of Nursing. The facilitators also guide the learners in the clinical environment.
We have a well-equipped skills lab, where the learners can practice their clinical skills before entering the clinical environment.
The Nursing academy also offers a course in Computer training as part of the nursing studies. We are very proud of our Internet Café, where the learners can surf the Net to collect data for their assignments. The Encarta program is also available to all learners.
We are privileged to be one of the Schools who can participate on the Phelophepa Health train. The motto of our school is "If you can't walk, you can fly" – meaning nothing is impossible in life !!!

In modern societies we live and function in demand that young and old to become PC literate, entitling them to play a more successful role in or when entering the working environment. Without PC Literacy you will struggle to enter any new work.
Up market training material is needed to be up to date with what is going on in the world of computers. EDU.COM presents their learners with in-depth training solutions using Microsoft training software and technologies that are applicable in the working environment and at home.
Range of Training:
Computer Training :
At EDU.COM we offer training on Microsoft training software called MELL (Microsoft eLearning Library). This package offers in-depth content, interactive exercises, automated support tools and on-screen demonstrations simplifying subject matter recall.
MELL provides a full scope of training including Office 2003 (Word, Excel, and Power Point); it also covers Outlook and FrontPage.
After completion of the subject matter a student will be given a Microsoft Certificatestating the course material covered.
The cost of the course will be set at R500.00 per module.
The duration of the course will be three (3) months, depending on the level of literacy.
We are also offering an ICDL Course (International Computer Driving License) with 7 additional modules.
After completion of every module, a student will write an international exam per module. An ICDL Certificate will be given after completion of all 7 modules.
