I am always at the right place at the right time!
There are many paths to full freedom and each of us creates his own path. We take the best of everything we have learned from the various places we have touched upon, and walk the path that works for us. No one’s path is better than another for they all lead us to the same place. Whether we use yoga, meditation, NLP or life coaching to help us along our path, the path will become clearer every moment of every day.
I was born in Bethlehem 1971 and raised in Ventersburg, Free State, South Africa. As a teenager, I always wanted to help people – in my mind I was psychologist, but that was only a dream. I was rather a loner, had divorced parents and those years was all about what one’s father gave to the headmaster/teachers to became one’s “full potential” and I never knew what I was going to do with my life after school. In 1990, I had to do compulsory National service and it was the same year that Mr. Nelson Mandela was release from prison, it was there that I learned the rewards of hard work, loyalty and dedication and never the benefits of teamwork due to that everybody was just looking out for himself. After compulsory service, the future in this country seemed very uncertain and there was just no money to go to University or even future studies. So I just started to work, mostly in the hospitality industry.
What it didn't prepare me for was "my" path.
In about 2001, I was introduced into a yoga class, coming from the Dutch Reformed back ground, a new world just opened form me. I did an Indian Head Massage course and a Professional Sport massage course. My path took my on a different road and I became a Tourist Guide instead – which I enjoyed tremendously. There was always the need for something more, more love, more happiness and yes more wealth – I just didn’t know where to find it and what exactly I wanted.
Tourist guide became an Events Coordinator and I was retrenched in 2009. Yes, the Big Guy in the Sky sometime gives you that kick – ‘flipping’ hard kick. By this time I was already aware of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) through a friend of mine, Dr. Ernest Frost and paid for my first course in full just before the retrenchment – which forced me in a sense to do it. I was in seventh haven – I didn’t realize that this was a dream come true (you have a client and you talk to them – so much the same as a psychologist).
I incorporated NLP techniques and massage in an informal way and with great results. I am in the process of creating a space to bring together not only my work, but others who are also on a path of health and wellness, a space where people learn to feel better daily. A healthy environment for a healthier YOU.
I am passionate about guiding people along their paths to wellness by teaching them about their bodies, minds and spirits, yes a tourist guide just on a different tour.
Because I love what I do, I don't consider it work. I am so blessed to have found something that I can give back to people. Happiness is our essential nature, and our continuous quest for happiness can only be fulfilled when we realise who we truly are. This is what I hope to leave with you.
I am a qualified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner, Eriksonian Hypnotherapist, Time Quintessence Techniques™ Practitioner and Life Coach and My Life Coach Franchise owner.
