We are not about just drawing and painting pretty pictures. we strive to build your confidence, help you relax from a busy life and find yourself again through art.
You will find our classes relaxed, friendly, non-judgemental and motivational.
What we do
The classes we offer are not just about drawing and painting pretty pictures. Our lessons are based on the principles and techniques of Dr Betty Edwards and other experts in this field. Our aim is to help our students unlock their right brain capabilities to do what it is best at: being creative, creative problem solving, seeing the bigger picture, seeing what is really there in that moment, being intuitive and insightful.
Techniques we focus on
- how to silence the logical left brain and switch to the creative right brain
- how to really look at objects and see like an artist
- how to draw and paint various objects realistically
- how to create depth and dimension with color, shading, composition and line
- techniques and skills unique to various art media, including graphite pencils, coloured pencils, charcoal, pastels, watercolor paints, acrylic paints
