When an individual comes for therapy it is usually because there is some concern around the individual's emotional functioning at some level. However, often the cause is not as obvious as the difficulty that is presenting. Therapy can provide a space for children, teenagers or parents to explore their emotional challenges and to try to work through difficult life experiences.
Often, people can be unsure as to whether therapy will be in their child's or their own best interest. If you are unsure, we are happy to meet and discuss this. The initial intake session can be conducted at a once-off fee. Often, having this space to explore and verbalise your own challenges or your child's challenges will result in you having more clarity with regards to the way forward.
